Pissarro in Eragny

In parallel with a retrospective dedicated to impressionist painter Camille Pissarro at Musée Marmottan Monet, Paris, the Musée du Luxembourg exhibition “Pissarro in Eragny” focuses on the last two decades of the artist’s life that he spent in the village of Eragny-sur-Epte. The exhibition strives to tackle the least studied and most complex period of Pissarro’s career and features works that are as spectacular as they are unfamiliar. On display are not only the paintings of the rustic landscape and pastoral surroundings of Eragny that Pissarro immortalised through the seasons but also his stunning graphical work, watercolours and engravings.
