The fourth edition of the Paris Gallery Weekend 2017 will take place on May 20 and 21, 2017, bringing together thirty-five internationally renowned art galleries specialising in modern and contemporary art. The event, organised by Choices, seeks to encourage interactions between the general public and the art professionals, artists, gallerists, collectors and curators from all over the world.
Over the weekend, the participating art galleries will be organising exhibition openings, guided visits, brunches, meetings with the artists and performances. Teams of mediators will be present at the participating venues to direct the visitors from one art gallery to another in Matignon, Le Marais and Saint Germain des Prés in Paris. The Paris Gallery Weekend will be inaugurated on May 19, 2017, with a day of conferences for the professionals and collectors at the Centre Pompidou in partnership with Talking Galleries, a think tank dedicated to the world of art already present in Berlin, Barcelona, Seoul and New York.
