Bastille Day Treasure Hunt at the Louvre with THATMuse
Let’s have some fun at the museum, shall we? To celebrate the Bastille Day this year, THATMuse (which stands for Treasure Hunt at the Museum) is hitting the Louvre with a Bastille Day Public Hunt. The hunters will go off the beaten path through some of the tourist-free rooms of the Louvre in search for All Things Gaul, from the beautiful French faience and tapestries to some frilly sculptures and, of course, the French monarchs, their lovers and kingmakers.
So grab a friend or more for this interactive and immensely fun hunt for the rarely-seen jewels of the Louvre. The hunt will last about 90 minutes and your mission would be to photograph your team in front of as many treasures on the list as possible within this time.
The Bastille Day Public Hunt will run in Paris at the Louvre on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. You can reserve your team’s spot by filling out the booking form here. You can also see a sample clue of the hunt and read more about THATMuse here. The website also includes further information about their other public and private treasure hunts in Paris museums and streets as well as in London, how to book, rules etc.
Note: The cost of Bastille Day Public Hunt is €20 per person or €18 per person for groups of more than 6. The entry tickets to the Louvre can be reserved in advance for the 1 pm or 1:30 pm slot here. Don’t forget to show us the pictures of your day at the museum by hashtagging #ThatMuse and #urbanmishmash and tagging @THAT_Muse_ and @urbanmishmashparis on Instagram.
