Music Festival Ile De France Paris 2016 | Urban Mishmash

Celebrating 40 years of Music: Festival d’Ile de France

Take your pick from Vincent Peirani’s invitation to travel to the Far East, Frédéric Pattar’s dialogue with George Crumb, Zad Moultaka’s composition inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead, or Fred Pallem’s interpretation of François de Roubaix’s movie soundtracks! Go on a musical journey to Brazil, Portugal or Cairo or put on your dancing shoes for the wild and wonderful Bal de l’Afrique Enchantée – the Ile de France is your stage!

For its 40th edition, Festival d’Ile de France is coming back to Paris and surrounding areas (September 3 to October 9, 2016) and brings with it a sweet, sweet melange of classical, contemporary and international music.

This year’s programme includes 33 concerts to be held across 29 venues in and around Paris. The venues include churches, chateaus, former factories and gardens, including some that are normally inaccessible to the general public. There are also some interesting workshops, masterclasses, conferences, film screenings and meet-ups with the performing artists that are being organised during the festival.
