The 22nd edition of the Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel (International Salon for Cultural Heritage) runs Carrousel du Louvre, Paris from November 3 to 6, 2016. The theme for the current edition is “chantiers remarquable du patrimoines” (“remarkable cultural heritage projects“) and unveils the expert workmanship of the exhibitors in carrying out restoration of exceptional heritage sites in France and abroad.
The Salon plays host to some 340 artisans and skilled craft professionals, including cabinetmakers, goldsmiths, furniture and stained-glass makers, restorers of paintings, skilled metalworkers, stonemasons, built heritage suppliers and heritage preservation associations who will share their excellent know-how in the field of cultural heritage. This leading European event is an excellent opportunity for professionals as well as individuals interested in the art of preserving, building or restoring heritage properties and cultural sites.
Some of the key exhibitors include Féau and Cie, a company producing luxury decors using rare wooden panels and old parquet floors on behalf of leading architects and designers across the world. Atelier Del Boca, also exhibiting at the Salon, has been deploying its expertise in ornamental plasterwork, painting, stonework and facade restoration to serve a vast range of prescribers, companies and decorators since 1931. Awardee of the title Meileur Ouvrier de France in 2007, Céline Le Belz is present with her company Brodeline, where she creates modern embroidered works by “reinterpreting skills, materials and dimensions”, alone or in association with other upholsterers or designers. Mosaicist Arnaud Pereira, a Fine Arts and ENSAAMA (Fine Craft) graduate, undertakes public and private commissions for mosaic creation and restoration of ancient mosaics.
