On June 21 last week, thousands of people took to the streets of Paris to celebrate the Fête de la Musique (Make Music Day), the world’s biggest free music event. Impromptu and pre-planned concerts ranging from classic rock to folk and reggae were the order of the day (and night) on almost every other street corner, bar and garden in the city. Churches, metro stations and museums joined in the festivities too, offering music lovers and merrymakers the perfect reason to dance, hum and celebrate until early hours.
Here are some pictures of the musical celebrations!
